1. Design and Display
Apple HomeView has a compact square display above a speaker base, with tabletop and wall-mounted versions. It emphasizes an attractive household dashboard, photos and entertainment. Echo Show 8 and 11 offer larger displays, which may be preferable for watching videos or reading recipes across a kitchen.
2. Siri AI vs Alexa+: Which Is Smarter?
Both companies emphasize natural conversation rather than rigid voice commands. Siri AI can use personal context from a compatible paired Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, while Alexa+ can help with shopping, routines, planning and follow-up requests across supported Amazon devices. There is no reliable universal winner: accuracy and useful integrations depend on your tasks and region.
3. Smart-Home Control and Security Cameras
HomeView can manage compatible lights, thermostats, locks, blinds and camera feeds. Apple says its camera dashboard can display up to nine feeds. Amazon’s Echo Show 8 and 11 can show up to four compatible camera feeds and offer automation features through Alexa. Before buying, check whether your current cameras, plugs and other accessories work with the platform.
4. Calling, Entertainment and Family Use
HomeView offers FaceTime, Messages, photos, Find My and multiroom audio with supported Apple speakers. Amazon’s Echo Show supports video entertainment, music services, Alexa calling and household routines. Apple users may prefer the tighter iPhone experience; Amazon users may prefer broader Alexa services and existing Echo accessories.
5. Privacy and Personalization
Apple says HomeView recognizes up to six household members and keeps personal information separate. Amazon provides microphone controls, camera controls and Alexa privacy settings. For either platform, review permissions, voice history and camera access before putting a smart display in a private room.
6. Apple HomeView Price and Release Date in India
Apple lists HomeView at ₹39,900 in India, with availability from November 13, 2026. The wall-mounted version is listed at the same starting price. Pre-order details and accessories are available on Apple’s India store.
7. Amazon Echo Show Price in India
Amazon lists the Echo Show 8 (fourth generation) at ₹23,999 and Echo Show 11 at ₹26,999 in India. Alexa+ launched through Early Access in September 2026, with English, Hindi and Hinglish support. Check Amazon for live offers and eligibility.
Which Smart Display Should You Buy?
Choose Apple HomeView if your household already relies on iPhone, FaceTime, Apple Home and Apple services, and you want a compact shared dashboard. Choose Echo Show with Alexa+ if you want a lower starting price, a larger display option or Hindi/Hinglish conversational support in India. Neither option should be chosen without checking your existing smart-home device compatibility.
