Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro was born on 5 February 1985 in the São Pedro parish of Funchal, the capital of the Portuguese island of Madeira, and grow up in the closeby parish of Santo António. He is the youngest and fourth kid of Maria Dolores a cook and a municipal gardener and part-time kit man. His great-grandmother on his Papa side, Isabel da Piedade, was from São Vicente island, Cape Verde. He has one older brother, two older sisters and Hugo, Elma and Liliana Cátia “Katia”. His mother revealed that she needed to abort him due to poverty, his father’s alcoholism, and having too many kids already, but her doctor refused to perform the whole procedure. Ronaldo grew up in an poor Catholic Christian house, share a room with all his siblings.
